Wow, long time no see
Hi there, anyone who's still watching me. It's been a while, I know, and yeah sorry abt that, been dealing with my own life.
Long story short, I think I'll try coming back to DA, even after all that fuss. Not here, mind you, on a new account. I need a fresh start, and I want nothing to do with the old version of me that held this account. I wanna start over completely, like if you get the link to my new account (how to do so will be said below), then please don't address me by what you knew me as before. No calling me Jess, I don't care if you like being on a first name basis, don't call me that unless you have me on skype. No asking about old art unless it was an old commission you lost. No Danny Phantom. Nothing old. This is a new start. Sorry if that sounds harsh.

I said to a few people I'd make a journal if I ever got around to making a new account. So for those people or for others who'd still like to follow me, you can, there's just a catch that you can't treat it like this account.
Thing is, most of you followed me for Danny Phantom art. That won't be happening anymore, I've completely left the DP fandom, along with all fandoms. I'm not joining fandoms anymore but I might make fanart once in a while for whatever I'm interested in. I also won't be posting anything very often unless it's just a sketch as I have a full-time job now and don't have as much time to make big fancy pics anymore.

Thinking back, yes at the time I enjoyed it. But I also realize my mind wasn't in the best place. I have trouble staying grounded and I realize I developed an ego on this account. So while good things came out of this account, bad things happened too and I just wanna leave those memories behind, move on, and try this again. Also this screen name is stupid. wtf 15 yr old me... dweeb...
Anyway, I think I've talked enough. This account is officially dead, I'm only keeping it so I can look through my faved art. If you wanna follow me on my new account, send me a note asking for the link. if you didn't comment often, don't worry I won't bite. Just read the journal on the new account pls. You don't have to read all of it but eh I kinda typed it for a reason. If I don't send a link soon it might be me forgetting to check this account or that I went to bed, pls be patient.

Okay, this was probably a little too hastey. I'm still not gonna post anything on this account and still gonna look into moving to another site, but I feel stupid for deleting everything. So many memories, just gone... DX That's leaving such a sick feeling in the pit of my stomach... DX Aw well, what's done is done. If on the off chance I actually can't find another site to go to, I MIGHT make a new account here, but I'd announce it in this journal.

As the title says. I'm probably leaving DA. I'm sick of it. So many art thieves roaming around, not to mention all the bloody bashing and flaming over pretty much anything. And of course recently DA secretly changing it's user agreements so that they can claim distribution rights over any artwork posted and profit from it while the artist gets nothing.

It sickens me that things like this have to happen.
So yeah. I know my art wouldn't be in much danger since Clocky is a pretty ignored character, but still. THIS is why I obsessively use watermarks. You can't trust ANYONE on the internet. Even if you find a supposedly nice art website, odds are it's either run by assholes or it doesn't protect your art from thieves. Heck, maybe even both, like this site.
This is not up for discussion. I've already deleted all the art in my gallery and in storage. I'll still keep my account active should I ever need to defend something of mine and so I can also continue to watch and fav art from the DA artists I follow. Or even if anyone feels like asking some questions or something. But other than that, I don't plan on doing anything else on this site or account. It's not safe anymore, not that it ever was but it's worse now.
For what it's worth though, it was a blast being here for 3/4 years. Special thanks to all my great watchers/followers that stuck with me for so long through thick and thin and for all your kind and encouraging comments. 8D You guys are awesome. I mean it. Thanks for sticking with me even when I started stories I'd never finish. I know that must've been really frustrating.
I made a few awesome friends that I now I.M. almost everyday. While we have our occasional bumps in the road and stupid teen drama (that seems to follow me wherever I go dammit) We've managed to stick together for this long, and I have DA to thank for that. XD DA will always feel like a second home to me. Albeit an abusive home that you think it okay to stay at but is still a threat. Go figure. XD
So yeah, this isn't really 'goodbye'. I'm not 'gone' 'gone'. I'm just not posting anything art related on here anymore. I might pop up somewhere on the internet again eventually. I really wanna find a safe art website I can post stuff in cause I've honestly missed posting art and hearing back from your guys, but it's just not a good idea to do it on DA anymore. I was gonna wait until I found a new site before I did this and deleted everything but DA's new terms of agreement thing just screwed it up.
Yep, I think that's all. Thanks for being awesome. XD Weird, this feels like one of those painful goodbyes even though I'm not deactivating. So sad. XD I dunno, I still have a weird feeling in the pit of my stomach about this. If for some stupid as all hell reason I decide to stay, I'll let you guys know, but honestly, DA is just screwed up. It's difficult to feel safe on this site. I'll let you guys know my final decision if I find another art site to stay on. But for now I'll just be floating around and faving stuff.

HOWEVER. I have been making art. The point of this journal is to link you to a christmas collab I did this past month with AFox! I'd just like to make a rule though. Please no one-word comments if you feel like commenting. This took us a while to put together and much sending the file back and forth. We put a lot of effort into this.

On a side note. I guess at this point I'll confess to going on a bit of a haitus for a while. I'm still logging onto DA daily but I have no motivation to really do anything on this site other than fave art and keep my eye open for art thieves trying to take credit for my stuff.
